Mae Wedemeier

2024 Fair Queen

Mae Wedemeier is the daughter of Scott & Catherine Wedemeier. She enjoys cross country, wrestling, track, student council, choir, FFA, musical, speech, and mentoring. Mae is active in her youth group and volunteers at the food pantry. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, gardening, reading, watching documentaries, writing, and kayaking. She also serves as StuCo secretary and FFA secretary. Mae plans to attend either Iowa State University or Luther College to major in psychology with a minor in sports psychology in hopes of becoming a social worker or owning her own counseling practice.

Laci Lauer

2024 Fair Princess

Laci Lauer is the daughter of Chris & Jill Lauer. She enjoys drill team, FFA, and National Honor Society. Outside of her Miss West Union duties, she is active at Redeemer Lutheran Church teaching Sunday School, serves as president for NFV FFA, and works at Vine Street Boutique along with an assistant director for the West Union Just for Kix program. In her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music, line dancing, hiking, traveling, and working for the family business on the farm. After graduation, Laci plans to attend a community college to obtain an ag business degree hoping to take over the billing for their family business, CGLS Construction.
